WORLD'S HIGHEST SHIP LIFT

With a vertical lift of 371 feet, the Three Gorges dam ship lift on the Yangtze River in China is currently the world’s highest ship lift. The ship lift at the Goupitan reservoir dam on the Wujiang River in Southwest China is currently undergoing testing. When opened, the overall lift will have a water level difference of 671 feet, including a second stage lift of 417 feet. Both the second stage lift and the overall lift will set new world records for the highest ship lift.
