WORLD'S FIRST TELEVISION COMMERCIAL



On July 1, 1941, at 2:29 p.m., the first television commercial appeared on screens in the U.S.

The shaky, 10-second spot for Bulova, a New York-based watch company, aired right before a Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies baseball game and cost $9.
