Falcon Nest is a detached residence in Prescott,
Arizona that is the tallest single family home
in North America at 124 feet. Its name is attributed to its resemblance to a
large mountainside bird's nest and the peregrine falcons that inhabit the
area It is located in Yavapai County, a two-hour drive northwest of Phoenix.
The home was designed by Phoenix architect Sukumar Pal.
It was built in 1994 at a cost of approximately $3.5 million. The house is
6,200 square feet in size and is spread out vertically over 10 stories.
The house was listed for sale in 2015 for $2.8 million,
and again in 2017 for $1.5 million. After a failed attempt to sell the house
by auction in May 2017, it was relisted for $2.8 million. It sold on March
28, 2018 for $755,000.
