NATIONAL AND STATE POPULATION RELEASE FROM CENSUS BUREAU

According to population estimates released by Census Bureau today, 9 states lost population between July 1, 2017 and July 1, 2018. (Given the fact that the U.S. population grew by 0.6 percent, it is amazing that any states are losing population. 0.6% may not sound like much, but it is just shy of 2 million additional people). (JKS)

Nevada and Idaho are the fastest growing states. Both are growing at 1.2% annually.
